I have been browsing boards, to find heavily modified boards. What are some of
the most decked out modded boards around? Are there any that do not even resemble the software they are using? (like major bbs, synchronet, mystic, you
get the ideah lol)

I totally get this. I am currently trying to restart my system, and as
such am trying to bring back and update the modules for my particular
BBS package that I wrote to get them up to date with current release of
the software.
I've tripped across a couple lately that make me amazed with the amount of work put in to them:
Bottomless Abyss: bbs.bottomlessabyss.net The Quantum Wormhole: bbs.erb.pw

I would love to check it out, when it's ready. Let me know when it's done or ifyou need someone to test things out. I'll stop in and give it a go.
Take care!

Tjhanks. Right now, I'm putting my qwk networking mod (started in
2014), which is basically a WINS version of the QWK by FTP script that ships with Synchronet.

Is there by chance a way to disable putting all of your message headers int
Just so you know... I've quoted your entire message above. Every
message you post includes all that "header" garbage in it, at the beginning of each message, which should not be happening.
yes, if i don't use NNTP to read and post. That's all. I will
bring this idea up with Santronics development.

That's odd. I figured maybe it would be an improper toggle in Thunderbird,o
There are other menu systems available for Synchronet 2.x that'll work with a little bit of tweaking. I took the Renegade-like menus, added some color to them, and added an ansi header. You don't have to go too far down to see stock Synchronet, though.
I see a lot of ANSIs out there, would love to see some menu mods that change how the BBSes function.
while i certainly don't have 10 scrollers, i added the flag to your
account on my bbs to skip the stuff that is there. and made your
account permanent. for when you maybe call a couple years from now
again hehe

A lot of the ones I have been to are bone stock lol!

Yeah, and I like them for the tacos. Not sure why you're sayin' that stuff, though, or what you're replying to specifically.
I notice that, too - in all fairness, the stock, single-menu Synchronet layout is
pretty dang handy and a lot simpler to deal with. I liked the older modal menus from my youth, so I went with those. It took a little tweaking to make sure I had all of the menu actions reflected in the menu ansis, seems they were made for version 2 and some commands had been changed/added.
