Apparenty it's back up now.
Also, if Vertrauen is down, posting about it on Dove-Net probably won't help because nobody will see the message until Vertrauen is back up again and BBSes can connect to it to exchange messages.

Not exactly true. Check your DOVENET call out and it probably specifies dove.synchro.net which resolves to both vert and cvs ips.

It's possible to cvs to receive the messages even if vert can't.

The software (Synchronet) runs on 3 hosts across 2 physical systems here at my house. If my power goes out for a while or I lose ISP connectivity, then yeah, all bets are off. But if vert.synchro.net isn't responding/working correctly, it's still usually true that cvs.synchro.net is still working fine (or even bbs.synchro.net).
