• BINKOUT Error

    From Basis@1:103/705 to All on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 18:44:44
    Hello,
    Strange one here for me. I have recently setup an FTN for twqnet which is at hub.ca.erb.pw. I have this setup correctly in sbbsecho.ini:
    BinkpHost = hub.ca.erb.pw

    If I run a binkpoll, it resolves correctly and downloads packets. However, when I run binkout, I get something like:

    6/18 06:39:23p BINKOUT Connecting to 1337:3/100@tqwnet at f100.n3.z1337.example.com:24554

    I searched the wiki and it says it will do this if the dns name is non-resolvable. I can resolve hub.ca.erb.pw to 149.56.142.85. It also returns an ipv6 address. However, when if hardcode the 149.56.142.85 to the BinkpHost it doesn't change the issue.

    Anywhere else I should be looking?

    Thanks!

    ...It's the deed to channel 62. I won it with a pair of 7s.

    Could be that you have the domain ("@tqwnet") specified in one context, but not the other. To BinkIt, 1337:3/100 and 1337:3/100@tqwnet are distinct and different nodes.
