I am using FreeDOS on two systems.
A 1995 desktop with a Pentium processor and 32 MB memory.
A 2005 laptop with a Pentium-M processor and 512 MB memory.
They are both networked through a serial port and sneakernet.
I use FreeDOS because i like that it comes with source code.

I have it on my old iMac2011. It worked fine but I haven't used it on daily basis for a long time.. like 5 years or so.. But when I did, I
liked to call it HackinDOS ;)
MSDOS documentation is gone
now days, but I found enough online with an OK example to get my system online.

out usually.
I relearned TASM's IDEAL mode thanks to one of those books.
If you have any specific question, shoot, maybe I have found the answer already. I've been playing with DOS on almost daily basis for 3-4 years already. Staying loyal to 6.22 as my basis.
