I got to see it on Friday and Saturday evening. It looks like a very
bright star or planet -- seeing the tail requires a camera. I think they over-hyped this one a bit, but I was still glad to finally see it.

I saw it tonight at 7:20PM.
Took pictures of it Tuesday and Wednesday.

Yes, there isn't a tail, just a bright spot in the sky after the Sun has set.
Here it is about 45 Degrees left of due West and about 40 Degrees angle above ground.
My thoughts are the tail forms when it is real close to the Sun.
And the tail points towards the Sun.
Because it is moving away from our Sun there isn't any tail now.
I noticed the bright spot last week but didn't associate it being the comet
I thought this comet would have been larger than just a tiny star-like spot in the sky.
I probably thought that way because as a youngster the books that had pictures of Halley's Comet had a large illustration of that comet.
Another time to prove that I'm not a Mister-Know-It-All, I just act like one. Ed
