What kind of music do you like to write? For me it's mainly rock but I do experiment with other genres sometimes. Doesn't hurt to try something different once in a while. It can be a change of pace and a challenge at the same time.

I've often had a hard time being creative enough to write my own original music, so usually I like to play others' music, or try to improvise with different styles. Usually rock, but also sometimes easy listening. And for some reason, I've wanted to start learning some ragtime-style piano songs.

Every two weeks it's a song writing competition, it will get you out of your comfort zone sometimes. I've worked with people all over the world and had alot of fun. All levels of musicians. You are paired up one musician, one lyricist, and one vocalist.
