We have sunny weather, but overnight lows around 17F, which is very rare here. Even had reports of snow flurries on the San Joaquin Valley floor. The citrus growers are worried about their crops. Tomorrow morning, same thing.
The last time it was this cold was in 1998 and before that, 1990. Last measurable snow: 6" January 25, 1999 at our house in Visalia, CA. Lodgepole, in Sequoia National Park was to be -4F (four degrees below zero farenheit) this morning, less than 50 miles away at 6000'. Currently: Sunny about 30 at 09:40 AM Sat.
