Ok, I found a site that showed me how to set up port forwarding for
my modem. Would someone be willing to try to telnet in for me? I
can't reach it fro here, as I am inside the network
The IP is 70.19.154.71
Well if you can't reach it from inside your own network, the most likely, no one can reach it from the outside.
Not necessarily true.
I was able to telnet to "NEXXUS1 located in Taunton, MA with my sysop, Spiffwiggler here to serve me" on that 70.19.154.71 IP. If he can't
access it internally, it's probably because his router isn't set (or even able) to port forward from inside, *back* to inside.
He'll need to use HOSTS file(s) to specify the local/internal IP for the domain so he can access the board via the local IP when using the domain
name from inside.
