in canada, iirc, the laws are kind of laxed... but in the US, you aren't in compliance.. but probably safer than using a p2p app...
Copyright is really B.S. to a large extent... imho as soon as the "right"
is given away from the author, the owner should be considered "dead" esp.
with regards to companies owning copyright. just my $.02...
Re: Patents... software/idea/procedure patents should only be for 5
years, and cost the larger portion up front, instead of on approval..
