Started a 1 man punk band recently called "The Skindicks" have 2 songs laid down so far.

"Punk You"
"Do you wanna come home with me?"

The LP is all songs about middleaged guys like me who are tired of their wive's slacking at home.

Personally, I used to play the flute in middle school and piano/keyboard in high school. It has been ages ago since I had anything to do with musical instruments.

However, I do dabble around with Caustic on my phone: using different kinds of software synthesizers. Loads of fun at times, for me at least, especially with one of the synthesizer, Modular (software equivielant to synthizer patching).

I am in the process of doing an electronica version Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, 1st Movement. Still have a long ways to go, and have a lot of kinks to work out if it (or I may just scrap it and start over again). I was able to do an electronica version Hava Nagila, but it is very basic.

drums, guitar, keyboard, cajon. I am not any good at any of them tho. old post i realize but just saw it... I found this app a while back that was like a 4 tracker but each track was actually a live internet feed... ie. all 4 of you run the app, connect to each other, put your output into your pc, and then you can jame "live" over the net and record it... I think it was called Jamulus and there was pc and mac versions. Never tried it but I think an impromptu internet jam would be funny.

That's cool. I've played guitar for a long time, and synthesizers a bit too. Currently I have a Roland Juno-G synth, which is a bit of an older model now, but I still like it. It ha ssome cool sounds (I also bought the Roland SRX-07 sound expansion card for it), and it can also be used as a USB MIDI controller if I want to use the sounds in a PC recording program.

I haven't, but I've heard of those. I know someone who used to have a Roland Juno-106 though (a fairly iconic synthesizer), and I liked playing with that sometimes.

Did you ever make any combis or templates. LFOs and Arpeggios are fun too. But my fav is the pads. They are so atmospheric.

Squire is a more budget-oriented brand, owned by Fender. It's kinda like how Epiphone is to Gibson.

I forgot which youtube channel I was watching, but the host was recreating th e sounds of some songs from the 80's. In cases where he couldn't find
hardware of that vintage, it appears some modern keyboards have legacy modes
or legacy compatibility which reverts their functionality down to that of a DX-7 or whatever legacy brand model they were based upon.

Started a 1 man punk band recently called "The Skindicks" have 2 songs la down so far.

The LP is all songs about middleaged guys like me who are tired of their wive's slacking at home.
